The Raffi More Singable Songs album is a follow-up to the Raffi Singable Songs for the Very Young Collection - but is a beautiful and unique children's album in it's own right.

Like "Singable Songs for the Very Young" this album is created with very young children in mind with songs that are simple to learn and sing along with - and at the same time the music is some of the most beautifully written and performed music that I've ever heard for children.

There are a few different types of products associated with the Raffi More Singable Songs album including the music in various formats as well as a fun children's "Songs to Read" book that is perfect when paired with the music - or not.

Raffi More Singable Songs - The Music:

Children can laugh, sing and dance to some very uplifting and fun songs on Raffi More Singable Songs such as "New River Train", "Six Little Ducks" and the darling song, "Shake My Sillies Out".

Other songs have a slightly different tone to them, such as a country-style song, "Listen to the Horses" with a "clippety clop" rhythm to it, kids can enjoy some real-life ragtime music with "Junior Ragtime" - and be lulled to sleep with one of the sweetest songs I've ever heard, "Douglas Mountain".

It is clear that Raffi takes great care with his music for children to ensure that it is some of the most beautiful and artistic music out there, all the while maintaining a level of simplicity that makes the music easy to learn and have fun with for kids. Everything Grows by Raffi is an album with some great basic learning and fun music for children.

As it seems with each of his albums, there is an underlying theme with Everything Grows by Raffi about how all life forms are interlinked - including people, plants and animals - and what those have in common.

Of course it wouldn't be a Raffi album without some silly and fun songs - those are on this album too.

The song, "Everything Grows" by Raffi has it's own special message for children - how all things alive grow and how all life forms have this in common. Raffi Quiet Time is the perfect children's album for the end of the day, and as the subtitle states the album contains "songs for a pause, a cuddle or a nap".

The songs on this album seem to be geared to slow things down when the time is right and children love them. Even though the songs are basically all for this purpose, each song is unique and beautiful in itself.

Raffi Quiet Time is a collection of lullabye-style songs from various other Raffi albums and is one of the most popular albums in the entire Raffi collection.

Not only are the songs on the Raffi Singable Songs for the Very Young Album fun to learn and sing along with, some of the songs have some lessons for little ones that are important to learn for their age range - and they help parents out too by making "tasks" such as brushing teeth a lot more fun (and far less serious and "task-oriented" for kids).

Raffi's Christmas Album is a great music album for children and actually for entire families at Christmas-time.

One of the songs on the album (as is noted by it's cover) is "A Child's Gift of Love" and is a beautiful original Christmas song written by Raffi and may be one of the most beautiful Christmas songs ever written.

The entire album is filled with beautiful and fun music for Christmas, and is a perfect "favorite Holiday music" album for many families - especially families with small children.

Raffi One Light One Sun is a very special album that focuses on the idea of people from all over the world in terms of their similarities - as opposed to their differences.

The music from Raffi One Light One Sun is beautifully performed and can really get kids to thinking about how special all people are in the world - as well as simply having a great time singing along and dancing to some of the "funnest" music for kids available.

Songs range from working to convey important messages to being silly and simple fun for kids and entire families.

Raffi One Light One Sun - the Music:

The title song, "One Light One Sun" is one of the most lovely songs ever written for children. It truly focuses on how we all have many (important) things in common and how we are all beautiful. "Somewhere in the World" and "Like Me and You" are also very sweet songs that beautifully communicate this message, but in a slightly different way.

More songs on the Raffi One Light One Sun album such as "The Bowling Song", "Walking Song", "Apples and Bananas" and "Octopus's Garden" - are songs that are simple and fun to sing with - kids will be giggling, singing and generally having a great time.

The Rise and Shine Album by Raffi has it's own unique "flavor" (if you will) that is distinct from his other albums.

You will find that while the music is of excellent quality (as is true with his other albums) - this album has a rather inspiring feeling to it that can help kids (and adults) to observe the beauty of the world and it's people in a special way.

There are a number of products that are associated just with the Rise and Shine by Raffi album including (of course) the music, video concert of Raffi live and some very fun "Raffi Songs to Read" books just for kids.

Rise and Shine by Raffi - the Music:

Many people's personal favorite of all the songs on this album is the title song, "Rise and Shine". It is a beautiful song that brings to mind the beauty of the world on a brand new day - with a new start.

Other songs on the album such as "Something in My Shoe", "Ducks Like Rain" are silly and extremely fun for kids to sing and dance to, while a song like, "Big Beautiful Planet" is just as fun but can get kids thinking about the planet and our environment.

Bananaphone - Raffi Album

The Bananaphone Raffi album is one of the most loved children's albums by Raffi - the title song, "Bananaphone" is cute, funny and silly. Kids love to sing and laugh right along with Raffi on this one - and if you're about to hear it for the first time you will soon understand why.

The entire Bananaphone Raffi album is a fun mix of music with various themes - there's silly and fun, spiritual, and educational - the variety of the music is as appealing as the songs themselves since it kind of keeps kids "on their toes" with the varying styles and ideas.

Bananaphone Raffi (like his other albums) is extremely high quality music that carries with it an underlying strong respect for children and communicates with them in a way that they love - as only Raffi can.

Are albums such as Bananphone by Raffi Important?

Raffi has a very very very special talent that I've seen with no other children's musical artist - he is able to communicate with children through his music with the utmost respect for little ones who are listening - that's likely due to the fact that he does respect children and in no way, shape or form "talks down" to them as less intelligent or worthwhile people than anyone else. Children (like adults) know when they are being communicated to in this way and it's not only appealing to them, it's captivating! =)

Couple the way Raffi communicates to children with some important messages about respect for life and the environment and - my answer to the question above is, "absolutely!" Bananaphone by Raffi - as is true with his other albums - is an excellent choice in music for children.
